Briston Recreation Ground

The Recreation ground is managed by the Higginbottom Recreational Charity.

The children’s playground

It involves some 4 acres of green space plus other features:

  • Full sized Football pitch
  • Practice goals
  • A Junior Football pitch
  • Two Hard courts for Tennis and Netball
  • An archery area (previously the bowling green)
  • A well equipped play area
  • A bike/scooter pump track
  • Adult exercise equipment
  • A skateboard area

There are few rules associated with the recreation ground, but dogs should be kept on a lead, dogs are excluded from the play area and the hard courts, and we encourage people to use the several litter bins provided for both litter and dog waste.
