Briston Parish Council Meetings

The Parish Council meets on the second Monday in the month, every month except August and January. These meetings are open to the public and the press who participate at two points in the meeting, but not in the rest of the agenda.

A typical agenda will include:

  • Apologies for absence
  • Approval of the minutes from the previous meeting
  • Declaration of interest in any item on the agenda
  • Matters arising from the minutes of the previous meeting
  • Invitation for Public participation including reports from County Councillor, District Councillor and SNT representative
  • Consider and make observations on any planning applications
  • Approval of the bank statement for previous month and payments for the current month
  • Report from the Higginbottom Recreational Charity
  • Report from the Copeman Centre
  • Invitation for public participation
  • Any other business including items for the next Council Meeting
